   When people first hear about Coffee Blocks, one of the first questions they have is, why grass fed butter?  In todays blog we will discuss the many benefits of grass fed butter.
   First lets discuss some of the false information many of us have been shopping with for years.  For decades butter has been avoided because it is high in saturated fat, which is marketed to causes heart disease.  This information is both incomplete and inaccurate, basically bad science.  When heart disease increased in the United States, the “dietary experts” blamed foods that contain saturated fat, like butter. 

   This claim was confusing at best.  It is confusing to take new health challenges and blame old dietary traditions.  The second confusing part is why would heart disease continue to increase while people decreased their consumption of butter.  The reality is that butter does not cause heart disease, but actually can help prevent it.
Butter contains the following nutrients that improve and strengthen our overall health:
Vitamin K2, prevents the following diseases; cancer, osteoporosis, and heart disease.
Butyrate is a fatty acid that helps prevent inflammation within our arteries.  It also helps improve the overall digestive process.

Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA), has been known to protect against heart disease, diabetes and cancer.
So to recap, grass fed butter can provide the following health benefits; minimize risk to cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and osteoporosis while improving digestion, increasing metabolism and improving the body’s ability to burn fat.
